Eik Landing 302B Dream CatcherLocated on the picturesque harbourfront of Tofino with panoramic views of the majestic rainforest mountains and islands of Clayoquot Soud, Eik Landing was named for the towering ancient cedar at its entrance.
The now famous Eik tree was in danger of falling over and for a while it seemed it may be cut down, until a young French Canadian man climbed up to its protecting treetop boughs and would not leave until the tree was saved. Worldwide media became enchanted with the passion this young man had to save the Eik tree and money flowed in from around the world to save it. Now complete with a protecting 'girdle' the Eik tree stands as the sacred guardian of Eik Landing. Each Eik Landing suite offers its own unique and individually designed style. Dream catchers are ubiquitous amongst all First Nations people. Simply put, dream catchers filter out bad dreams and permit good dreams through the centre. Our dream, for years, has been to have a home in Clayoquot Sound. We open our home to you, and we hope it provides you shelter while you enjoy the restless ocean, the rain forests, the beautiful sunsets, and the birds and the animals including the eagles that hang out in the ‘girdled‘ tree. May you find the Sound as renewing of your spirit as our family does.
Dream Catcher is a third floor one bedroom corner suite. It features a well equipped, custom kitchen with beadboard cabinetry with full appliances, open dining area/living room with gas fireplace, master bedroom with queen bed, large walk-in closet and double sliding doors onto the cedar deck, full bathroom with tub/shower, and water-facing deck with gas BBQ and deck furniture. Dream Catcher is pet friendly and will sleep up to 4 guests.
